Barbara Sarah Watkin Williams: another War Graves Commission headstone, erected in a family plot. Barbara was the niece of Jack Peterson and had joined the Women's Auxiliary Airforce in 1939, at the age of 16. By the following year she was an Aircraftwoman 1st Class, serving at RAF Digby, in Lincolnshire. In the chaos of a bombing raid on the airfield on 20 June 1940, she was hit by a truck and died, at the tender age of 17.
