SS Mohacsfield, built by W. Gray & Co. Ltd., West Hartlepool in 1910 and owned at the time of her loss by Doughty Shipping Co. Ltd. (H. Doughty & Co.), West Hartlepool, was a British steamer of 3678 tons. On January 7th, 1917, Mohacsfield was on a voyage from Cètte with a cargo of hay, when she was sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Lothar von Arnauld de la Perière), 40 miles SEx1/2E from Malta. 3 persons were lost.
